Ev&Em Vineyards Releases 2024 Vintage of Classic Rosé

Ev&Em Vineyards is excited to announce the release of their 2024 Classic Rosé. The release of the new vintage signals an exciting evolution in American pink wine culture—particularly along the North Fork and Hamptons’ maritime vineyards. Long Island’s unique terroir—with coastal breezes and sandy-loam soils—provides an ideal environment for crafting vibrant, acid-driven rosés. This vintage continues the estate’s hallmark of elegance, delivering delicate strawberry and floral aromas, a crisp yet balanced acidity, and a satisfying dry finish—perfect for summer soirées or pairing with fresh seafood and charcuterie.

Coming 100% from our certified sustainably farmed estate fruit, this marks our fourth and most exciting vintage yet. The 2024 vintage on the North Fork of Long Island was a memorable one. Growers got a fright in the late spring, with an unseasonable frost event that reduced yields in a number of varieties, most notably Chardonnay. The summer was long, hot, and humid, contributing to challenging conditions throughout vine canopies. Right as the humidity broke towards the end of summer, conditions dramatically shifted, creating one of the most memorable falls in North Fork history. Dry, warm conditions prevailed, allowing for slow, even ripening, and full maturation of sugars and flavors. Winemakers were treated to steady, predictable conditions, allowing for each variety to be picked at its optimal ripeness. From a quality perspective, the 2024 vintage proved to be a historically great one.

Critics have taken notice: a recent Wall Street Journal piece highlights how American rosés—including these from Long Island—are transcending stereotypes, embracing both Provençal lightness and richer ruby hues, exhibiting depth, versatility, and table-worthiness. Local wine authorities echo this sentiment: Long Island Wine & Spirit Merchant curated a stellar lineup of limited editions and handcrafted releases, applauding the sophistication and narrative quality each bottle carries. What makes the 2024 Long Island rosé line so compelling is the blend of innovation and tradition. Winemakers are applying meticulous technique—shorter skin contact for pale styles or longer spends for deeper profiles—while drawing from centuries-old methods and storytelling traditions.
